Eligibility Criteria
Basic Conditions
Must be an Indian citizen
Should not have any criminal conviction
For Primary Level (Class 1–5)
12th with 50% + D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / Diploma
OR Graduation + B.Ed (as per norms)
For Upper Primary Level (Class 6–8)
Graduation + B.Ed / D.El.Ed / BA B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed
Minimum marks: 50% / 45% (category-wise relaxation)
Special Category Relaxation
5% marks relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: As per Jharkhand Govt rules
Age calculated as on 1 August 2026
Exam Pattern
Two Levels:
Paper 1 → Class 1–5
Paper 2 → Class 6–8
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes each paper
Total Questions: 150 MCQs
Mode: OMR based (offline)
No negative marking
Qualifying Marks
General / EWS: 60%
OBC: 55%
SC/ST/PwD: 52%
