Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is determined as of March 25, 2026.
1. Legal Assistant (Post Code 801/26)
Education: Degree in Law from a recognized university.
Experience: Varies by department, typically 1 to 3 years as a Legal Practitioner or in legal work.
Age Limit: Generally not exceeding 30 years (18-35 for DTC).
2. Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Post Code 802/26)
Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
Experience: NIL.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years (32 years for DAMB).
3. Junior Engineer (Civil) (Post Code 803/26)
Education: Degree in Civil Engineering OR a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of experience.
Age Limit: 18-30 or 18-32 years depending on the department.
4. Assistant Section Officer / Grade-II (Post Code 804/26)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
Desirable: Basic knowledge of computers and computer proficiency.
Age Limit: Generally 21-30 years or not exceeding 30 years.
Examination Scheme
The recruitment process involves Tiered examinations depending on the post:
One Tier (Technical): For Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Civil).
Two Tier: For Legal Assistant and Assistant Section Officer.
Negative Marking: A deduction of 0.25 marks applies for each wrong answer in 1-mark questions and 0.50 marks for 2-mark questions.
