Central Railway is offering a valuable opportunity for technical candidates to undergo one year of apprenticeship training. This notification is specifically for designated trades like Stenographer, Fitter, Mason, and Mechanic (Refrigeration and AC). Selection will be based on a merit list prepared using the average marks of Matriculation and ITI.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Matriculation: Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination (under the 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Technical: Must possess a National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by NCVT or SCVT.

Note: Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible.

2. Age Limit (As of March 10, 2026)

Minimum Age: 15 years.
Maximum Age: 24 years.

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST: 5 years.
OBC: 3 years.
PwBD: 10 years.
Ex-Servicemen: Up to 10 years (additional to service rendered + 3 years).

Number of Vacancies (Cluster-wise)

A total of 51 slots are available across the following units:

Mumbai Cluster:
- Stenographer: 28 posts.

Bhusawal Cluster:
- Stenographer: 5 posts.

Pune Cluster:
- Stenographer: 3 posts.

Solapur Cluster:
- Stenographer: 1 post.
- Fitter (Engineering): 2 posts.
- Mason: 3 posts.
- Mechanic Refrigeration and AC: 9 posts.

Stipend and Training

Training Period: 1 Year.
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 9,600 per month for National or State Certificate holders.
Accommodation: No hostel facility will be provided; selected candidates must make their own arrangements.
